Devon Delivery Services Terms & Conditions.

Payments:
DDS will ask for 25% deposit to secure a chosen date. The balance to be paid on delivery.

Parking Charges & Tolls:
All DDS prices include tolls & parking charges but do not include ANY congestion charges or payment for parking permits. It is the customers responsibility to insure safe secure parking for both collection and deliveries.

Collection & Delivery:
DDS will endeavour to arrive at the agreed time for both collection and delivery but due to the distances we may need to travel and traffic conditions delays may occur, DDS will contact the customer as soon as possible with an update and ETA.
DDS cannot be held responsible for Train/Ferry delays due to strike action, weather or security issues.
It will be the customers responsibility to ensure there are enough people to help load or unload, our drivers are hppy to assist but will not unload on their own. DDS will charge a waiting time of £30 per hour if we are held up getting access to load or unload, waiting time will commence 1 hour from arrival.

Loading:
Only items that are in boxes or protective wrap will be covered by our insurance, loose loaded items are loaded at the owners risk. All petrol garden machinery must be empty before loading. We do not carry gas, petrol, diesel or any other combustible liquids. We do not insure large glass items or mirrors unless they are fuly protected.
Plants and plantpots are transported at owners risk.

We do NOT carry people or animals, firearms, fireworks, money or tobacco. Customers will be asked to sign a disclaimer to this effect. Customers remain responsible for the contents packed at all times.
All liquids (wine, spirits, cooking ingredients) are transported at the owners risk and should any breakage occur and affect other customers items we retain the right to claim damages.

Insurance Claims:
DDS reserve the right to have any insurance claim checked by a third party. DDS reserve the right to have any damaged item repaired where possible at our expense. All claims to be made within 7 days of delivery. We do not except responsibility for goods going into storage.
